Position Overview

Classification is currently under review.
Reporting to the Manager, Health Services, the Clinical Education Facilitator assumes a leadership role by providing guidance and direction to participants in the undergraduate Nursing Program to ensure quality patient care and outcomes based on best practice. The Clinical Education Facilitator is responsible for the organization, supervision and evaluation of students' clinical performance.
Experience
--------------
A minimum of three (3) years of current clinical experience on the ward is required.
Recent teaching experience preferred.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

Graduate from an approved School of Nursing required.
Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
Successful completion of a relevant post-basic program may be required or preferred in designated area.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
----------------------------------------
Current registration or eligibility for registration, with C.R.N.M. required.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.

Physical Requirements

This term position may end earlier as outlined in your collective agreement.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
