Position: Registered Clinical Counsellor

Location: North Vancouver, BC

Type: Contract

Responsibilities:

Conduct individual counseling sessions to assist clients in exploring their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. Develop personalized treatment plans based on clients' needs, goals, and presenting concerns. Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions to promote clients' well-being. Maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting counseling sessions and progress. Comply with ethical guidelines and standards set forth by the BCACC and other relevant professional bodies. Provide a safe and non-judgmental environment for clients to express their concerns and emotions. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community resources to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of clinical counselling. Follow the direction of the clinic director in servicing clients
Requirements:

Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) status with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). Master's degree in Counselling Psychology or a related field from an accredited university. Proven experience in providing individual counseling to diverse populations. Strong knowledge of therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Therapy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport and build a strong therapeutic alliance with clients. Ability to work independently and demonstrate flexibility in scheduling appointments. A genuine passion for helping individuals overcome challenges and improve their mental health. High level of empathy, compassion, and understanding of the human experience. Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
Compensation rate depends on experience level.
