Position Overview



As a Clinical Counsellor, you will provide evidence-based, culturally informed counselling to individuals, couples, and families experiencing trauma, relational concerns, and other mental health challenges. You will support clients in building emotional wellness while working in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Responsibilities & Expectations



Provide counselling to individuals, couples, youth, and families using trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches Conduct intake assessments and develop personalized treatment plans Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and case notes Apply modalities such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, somatic therapies, Gottman Method, and/or EFT (as applicable) Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality in accordance with BCACC guidelines Participate in team meetings, consultations, and collaborative care planning Offer culturally responsive care to clients from diverse backgrounds Demonstrate strong communication, rapport-building, and crisis intervention skills Manage scheduling, session follow-up, and caseload independently and efficiently Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain competency in evidence-based practices Build and maintain positive community and inter-agency relationships Represent Radiance Counselling Clinic with professionalism, respect, and commitment to our mission

Qualifications



Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology RCC designation with BCACC Minimum 2 years' experience supporting individuals, couples, and families Professional liability insurance Preferred: Approval to provide services under CVAP, ICBC, WorkSafeBC, and/or FNHA

Skills & Knowledge



Training in trauma-focused counselling Competence in CBT, DBT, EMDR, somatic therapies, and/or attachment-based approaches Training in Gottman or EFT for couples work (preferred) Understanding of youth and adolescent mental health Ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds Strong clinical judgment, empathy, and interpersonal skills Flexibility, professionalism, and comfort working independently and collaboratively
