About the role:




The Clinical Coordinator is a member of the leadership team and collaborates with the interprofessional team to ensure excellence in patient care by monitoring standards of care and patient outcomes. They will be responsible for respiratory therapy care and resource management across the organization.

What you will be doing:



Liaise with Physicians, NP, Staff, Students, Volunteers, and External Partners. Responsible and accountable for all staffing, vacation scheduling, and making necessary adjustments to ensure quality patient care delivery. Ensure respiratory resources, supplies, and equipment are available to the units at all times. In collaboration with the manager, performs human resource responsibilities including recruitment, hiring, and ongoing performance evaluation, including 30 and 90-day probationary reviews. Identify and lead quality of care improvements in collaboration with the manager and educator. Actively participate with the team in implementing evidence-based practices to achieve program objectives and assist in the development of clinical pathways. Facilities follow-up intervention and support for staff incidents and implementation, coordination of modified work after consultation with the manager. Updates Manager regularly regarding all human resource management. Actively participates and leads the team in a variety of projects as assigned by the management team. Promotes a healthy work environment for the team. Provide leadership on key projects related to patient safety and care. Support the development of a Patient-Centered Care environment, shared governance models, structures, and continuous learning and education. Actively participate in the accreditation process and will assist in the development of program goals and objectives related to the accreditation process with timely follow-up. Promotes inter-unit, inter-program, and inter-facility relationships to enhance team performance. Acts as a role model in adherence to hospital polices and procedures, evidence-based clinical practice standards, infection control practices, and occupational and safety. Performs other duties consistent with the job classification as assigned.

What you'll bring:



Member in good standing of the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario CSRT/RTSO affiliation preferred Advanced Diploma in Respiratory required, undergraduate degree in a health-related field degree preferred Minimum 3 years of recent acute clinical care experience required Recent leadership experience preferred Demonstrated ability to lead quality improvement projects Demonstrated excellent collaboration/interprofessional skills Demonstrated satisfactory job performance and attendance Experience in maintaining high-quality practice in the clinical environment Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high-quality work. Exercise initiative and sound judgement with the ability to multitask
