Reporting to the Senior Manager, Health Care Services & Clinical Compliance lead is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and regulatory compliance across multiple supportive living sites.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and regulatory compliance across multiple supportive living sites.
Leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Quality Improvements, guiding Site Managers and Supportive Services Supervisors to deliver client-centered care and achieve quality outcomes.
Conducts quarterly audits of resident charts and medication records to ensure compliance.
Tracks quality metrics, and leads continuous improvement initiatives.
Drives staff development, by overseeing training and competency assessments for Health Care Aides and Supervisors to ensure effective care delivery.
Collaborating with key stakeholders, including Alberta Health Services (AHS), the CCL plays a strategic part, ensuring that all sites not only meet, but exceed Accommodation Standards, Continuing Care Health Service Standards (CCHSS), and Accreditation Canada requirements. It is instrumental in driving regulatory compliance, supporting continuous quality improvement, and maintaining excellence in care delivery.
Through strong leadership, the CCL fosters a culture of safety, resident well-being, and continuous improvement across all sites.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager
On call maybe required
Our Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
A graduate of a recognized Licensed Practical Nurse Program.
Management or leadership courses are preferred.
A Certificate in Gerontological Nursing is an asset.
Current C.P.R. certification is required
A minimum of five years working with the elderly and/or home care programs is required.
A minimum of two years supervisory experience is preferred.
Intermediate knowledge of computer applications is required.
Recent experience with case management (long term care, public health, home care) is preferred.
A working knowledge of data analysis and excellent writing skills.
Completion of the Supportive Pathways course is required.
Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and management skills are required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Must possess intermediate computer skills.
Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must possess a valid driver's license, an automobile and willing to drive to multiple sites.
All successful candidates must have, prior to start date:
A current and clear Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Check that has been obtained no more than 90 calendar days prior to the hire date.
A tuberculosis screening that has been completed no more than 12 months prior to the hire date.
