We are seeking an
actively licensed RN or LPN
to lead our Health Care Aide (HCA) competency and compliance process. This role ensures our caregivers meet Alberta Health standards for the HCA Directory and CDHCI program.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct
HCA Competency Assessment Profiles (CAPs)
for uncertified or experienced caregivers.
Verify staff documentation and support
HCA Directory enrollment and renewals
.
Provide
orientation and skills assessments
(office-based simulation and in-home observation with client consent).
Identify competency gaps, create
micro-training plans
, and re-assess as needed.
Collaborate with the office team (Stephanie & Jenise) to ensure only
Directory-Active HCAs
are scheduled on CDHCI shifts.
Support ongoing compliance readiness as Alberta transitions HCAs into regulation in 2026.
Qualifications
Active registration
as an RN or LPN in Alberta (required).
Knowledge of personal care skills, infection prevention, and client safety.
Strong communication and mentoring ability.
Experience in home care, seniors' care, or staff education is an asset.
Comfortable with part-time hours and flexible scheduling.
Hours & Commitment
Initial Phase (~first 6 months):
minimum 20-25 hours per week, as we
enhance our training capacity, strengthen competency review, and support staff development
.
Ongoing (after transition):
~10-15 hours per week, focused on
onboarding new hires, annual renewals, and quality improvement audits
.
Scheduling is primarily within business hours, with
occasional evening or weekend sessions
required to accommodate caregiver availability.
Some in-home assessments may be required with client consent.

Compensation:
$28-$32/hr, based on experience
