Job Overview

As a key member of our team, Clinical Assistant will support the delivery of family medicine services, working closely with our physicians to provide primary care to a diverse patient population. This is a clinic-based (non-hospital) role focused on building long-term patient relationships and ensuring continuity of care. This position requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

Conducting patient interviews Taking medical histories Performing physical examinations Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and imaging Diagnosing and treating illnesses Developing and implementing management plans Coordinating care with specialists Performing clinical procedures Providing preventative health counselling Participating in clinic rounds and team case discussions Documenting all patient interactions using EMR Working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team Assisting in ongoing care and patient education Other duties as assigned

a Medical Assistant or Medical Office Assistant position.

Qualifications

Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba (CPSM) Must hold a medical degree from a nationally approved Faculty of Medicine Must meet CPSM registration requirements 6 months to 1 year of previous experience in a medical or clinical settings required Flexible, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong judgment, discretion, and initiative, especially when handling confidential information High level of professionalism, work ethic, and reliability Strong commitment to patient care and safety Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team

Additional Requirements

Proficiency in English Experience with electronic medical records and digital documentation Completion of a Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search) Clearance from the Adult and Child Abuse Registries May be required to undergo a skills assessment or provide credential verification

Pay: $28.00-$31.00 per hour
