About the Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for a Clinical and Academic Neuropsychiatrist to join the Liaison consultation psychiatry service at the Department of Psychiatry, Dalhousie University and the Central Zone Mental Health and Addiction Program. This is a full time (1.0 FTE) opportunity with time split between a dedicated neuropsychiatry consult service (0.4 FTE), general consultation liaison psychiatry service (0.2 FTE), research (0.35 FTE) and education/leadership (0.05 FTE).
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, committed and academic neuropsychiatrist consultant with a keen focus on clinical excellence, medical education and leadership to work across mental and physical health in specialist settings, providing clinical leadership in service delivery, research, education and working closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team. The Department of Psychiatry\xe2\x80\x99s inter-disciplinary liaison consultation team includes psychiatrists, nurses, social workers and addiction counselors and provides services at the Halifax Infirmary at the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre and the Dartmouth General Hospital.

The post-holder will work clinically as a member of the liaison psychiatry service, engage in research, teaching (undergraduate and postgraduate) and/or leadership.
