Job Description

Position:

Medical Laboratory Assistant

Department

: Client Services

Hours:

Must be available Monday To Sunday. Must be able to work any shift. Hours will range from 6am to 6pm. Weekend and Holiday rotations are required. Hours are subject to change if necessary

Education:

Medical Laboratory Assistant diploma preferred

Skills:

Demonstrated excellent customer service skills

Exceptional interpersonal skills including communications skills, both verbal and written

Strong prioritizing skills

Strong computer skills

Knowledge of specimen requirements

Must work well independently and as part of a team

Must be able to follow established processes and procedures

Analytical skills to troubleshoot problems

Requirements:

One year of current MLW experience with demonstrated excellent customer service skills

Keyboarding 40 WPM

Registered as a Medical Laboratory Assistant/Technician, with current OSMT registration preferred

Working knowledge of MLW operations, processes and policies

Reliable transportation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Windsor, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:

Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:

Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
Work Location: In person
