Key Responsibilities:





Answers phone calls and responds to client and student enquiries. Provides support to students regarding use of client scheduling system. Oversees student voicemails (i.e., cleans up voice mails at the end of the academic year and reassigns to new students). Explains, guides and monitors students who are on placement or client services rotation on processes and procedures. Enters new client information into client scheduling system. Processes payments for treatment, completes insurance claims and forms as necessary, and balances daily deposits. Monitors assignment of clients to students. Monitors inventory of dental clinic forms in reception area. Submits, receives and processes clients' referrals, medical consultations and confidential documents to/from third parties; contacting the dental office, faxing or scanning forms. Other duties as assigned.

Educational and Experience Requirements:





One-year certificate or equivalent from a recognized post-secondary institution in Dental Office Administration or equivalent. Minimum two (2) years' experience in high-volume frontline reception within the health care field; receiving payments. Knowledge of current dental terminology. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of dental practice management software, records management and the Personal Health Information Protection Act 2004.
