The Client Services Manager (CSM) partners closely with clients to support them in planning and executing their events. Engaged from the initial stages, the CSM is responsible for managing client needs while also ensuring alignment with the company's financial objectives. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams--operations, design, and graphics--as well as early-stage engagement with the Business Development team to ensure seamless project planning. The CSM will also be present on-site to support clients and may be required to travel across Canada to coordinate events.
Key Responsibilities
Manage shows from initial planning through execution, final invoicing, and post-event follow-up.
Oversee and coordinate tradeshow production, providing on-site supervision across multiple client accounts.
Act as a liaison to build and maintain relationships with show organizers, exhibitors, venues, production teams, internal departments, and external vendors for various GES services.
Execute events per contracted terms, managing any non-contractual elements that arise.
Create and maintain the production file and relevant documents
Generate accurate invoices for show organizers in line with company timelines, ensuring timely collection of funds as per contract terms.
Set revenue and operational targets for assigned shows.
Deliver accurate and timely forecasts to senior management for each assigned event.
Lead and organize pre- and post-event meetings, including internal countdown sessions.
Supervise and support event personnel and subcontractors as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned to meet the demands of the role.
Qualifications
Excellent command of the English language with high level of professionalism
Bilingual in French and English an asset but not required
Minimum of three years' experience in tradeshow production or event management (preferred)
College diploma or university degree preferred but not mandatory
Strong presentation and organizational skills, proficient with Microsoft O365
Skilled at multitasking, prioritizing, and staying composed during high-volume periods
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Maintains professionalism and a positive attitude, even in challenging situations
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships
Basic knowledge of accounting/finance for effective budget management
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours at show sites as required
Flexible and adaptable to diverse environments and shifting responsibilities
