Position Title: Client Services Coordinator, AV & Event Support
Status: FT Support
Hours: 40 hours per week
Faculty/Department: Information Technology Services
Campus/Location: North Campus, Lakeshore Campus, and International Graduate School with the potential to have a partially flexible remote schedule.
Pay band/Hourly Rate: Support band I $36.19 - $41.94
What you will do:
As a member of the AV Design, Integration & Support team the IT Client Services Coordinator, AV & Event Support focuses on Audio-Visual hardware, software, and cloud solutions. The incumbent will help implement and support audio-visual equipment, systems, and technologies for use in Virtual, On-premises, and Hybrid Meetings and Events throughout the entire organization at all campuses. The incumbent will help to maintain quality assurance and best practices while delivering excellence in client service and support.
Key responsibilities:
\xc2\xb7 Knowledge and experience in planning, coordinating, vendor and equipment selection, design, provisioning, and execution of Audio-Visual events
\xc2\xb7 Working collaboratively with colleagues/peers in Information Technology Services, Capital Development & Facilities as well as vendors and contractors as needed.
\xc2\xb7 Monitoring, responding to and resolving service requests and escalations.
\xc2\xb7 Quality assurance of technical designs and specifications, installations, operations and repairs.
\xc2\xb7 Responding to service requests and complex faults/failures by performing root cause analysis of issues in order to secure effective solutions.
\xc2\xb7 Guiding and advising Humber staff, clients, contractors, and other support teams.
\xc2\xb7 Documenting, sharing, and maintaining a knowledge management solution.
\xc2\xb7 Inventory, asset, and life cycle management.
\xc2\xb7 Fostering and maintaining strong relationships and partnerships with clients and third parties.
\xc2\xb7 Staying current with best practices and developing trends within the audio-visual industry, while maintaining relationships in supplier, manufacturing, and EDU sectors
Qualifications
What you bring to the role:
Education/ Experience :
\xc2\xb7 The successful candidate will possess a 3-year Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
\xc2\xb7 A minimum of five years of experience delivering event production support services and leading complex projects on an enterprise scale.
\xc2\xb7 Hold certifications in the professional Audio-Visual industry such as AVIXA CTS, and additional certifications in network and/or hardware troubleshooting such as CompTIA Network Certification, CompTIA A+ Certification, and ITIL Foundation Certification would be an asset.
Skills:
\xc2\xb7 In addition, the successful candidate will possess strong planning, execution, and troubleshooting skills with audio-visual systems and IP networks.
\xc2\xb7 Proficiency with Windows & macOS, software & hardware troubleshooting, video conferencing platforms, and stage production.
\xc2\xb7 Strong attention to detail, the ability to decipher and follow design plans, business professionalism, technical acumen, customer service, communication with all levels of the organization, and being highly organized is required.
\xc2\xb7 The successful candidate will also demonstrate the ability to multitask operational work with priority projects running in parallel.
