In this role you will:


answer questions about environmental assessments permissions including approvals, registrations and pesticides licensing handle incoming and outgoing emails and correspondence create guidance material for internal and external client groups support the administration of the pesticide licensing program protect private information and follow privacy laws

Mandatory requirements



You must possess oral and written French language skills at the advanced level. Your proficiency level will be confirmed before hire.

to provide optimum service, explain information, deliver simple presentations to meet customer needs every time

Thinking skills

to probe for information, apply relevant sections of the Freedom of Information and Privacy Protection legislation, environmental legislation (e.g. Environmental Protection Act, Ontario Water Resources Act, Environmental Assessment Act, Environmental Bill of Rights, Pesticides Act) and related policies, guidelines and take appropriate actions

Patience

to listen and understand the client situation and/or requests for information that are sensitive in nature

Effective communication

to explain guidelines and procedures clearly and respond to emails and routine correspondence concisely

Computer proficiency

and ability to use Microsoft Office Suite applications, database systems and records management practices for computerized and hard copy record keeping

Team collaboration

to work well with colleagues in a team environment
