Job Description

The ALS Society of Alberta is a charitable organization whose mission is to make each day the best possible day for people living with and affected by ALS in Alberta. This is achieved by providing support, facilitating the provision of care, promoting awareness, helping to find a cure, and advocating for change. Reporting to the Team Lead of Client Services, the Client Services Coordinator will provide support for clients living with ALS in Northern Alberta, along with their families and loved ones.

The Client Services Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing a caseload and providing support to clients and their loved ones affected by ALS. This position works closely with other allied health care providers to assist people affected by ALS to access appropriate supports and services, provide information about ALS, organize, and facilitate support groups, maintain ongoing contact with the client and their loved ones, provide support through their changing needs, and educate other service providers about ALS.

Travel may be required, as well as a current Criminal Record Check.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:


Qualifications include a minimum of 3 years' experience in allied health care, social work, occupational therapy, or a related field. A post-secondary degree in a related field is required.
The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. You should also have a high level of comfort working with Microsoft office suite of tools. Experience working in an interdisciplinary team model would be an asset. Knowledge of ALS is preferred.
