Department Overview

The Credit Solutions Group is focused on helping to create and implement complex structured financial solutions providing superior risk adjusted after-tax rewards for Ultra High Net Worth and High Net Worth individuals, families, and business leaders. The department brings value through custom loan structures that help private Banking clients build net worth, protect what matters, implement tax-efficient strategies and leave a legacy.

Job Requirements

  • BUSINESS OPERATIONS
  • Provide effective credit administration for the portfolio, both within the unit and by interfacing with other parts of TDBG, including direct contact with clients.
  • Ensure effective implementation of operating policies and procedures, which maintain proper control of documents, securities, client files; and adhere to the principles and be accountable for completion of tasks outlined in the Monitoring and Control Guide.
  • Coordinate with Wealth Credit & Market Risk Management for daily and weekly account monitoring; ensure all changes on borrowing base conditions are communicated to Wealth Credit & Market Risk Management. Act as a liaison between the credit team and Wealth Credit and Market Risk Management to ensure the accuracy of information presented.
  • Obtain and compile all supporting documentation required by assigned teams for the credit writing process, including preparation of client/partner correspondence to obtain financial information and complete appropriate follow up process as determined by the team. Responsible for the completion of Securities Shortage Indicator report in conjunction with Credit Team.
  • Prepare Loan Agreements and build out security package for client execution. Coordinate with various partners (Private Bankers, client, client advisors/solicitors) to assemble funding packages (including satisfactory execution of disbursement conditions) for review.
  • Follow up on outstanding security items as indicated in the Security To Be Obtained Report and work with credit team to ensure the report is up to date.
  • Partner with Credit Centre Operations and other administrative support groups to facilitate their functions such as inputting credits, preparing security and account opening documents. Ensure all clients are appropriately programmed and reflected on Commercial World.
  • Prepare account opening packages for all personal non-exempt clients subject to Cost of Borrowing regulations.
  • Complete daily Consumer Protection Framework regulatory reporting and emails.
  • Responsible for booking of Banker\'s Acceptance and SOFR loans per instructions of client.
  • Leverage proficiency of various software applications/programs to ensure timely and accurate preparation of documentation required for portfolio management, client maintenance, and risk reporting.
  • Minimize risk and maximize cost-effectiveness by adhering to operational standards and procedures, documenting processes, and recommending process improvements.
  • Ensure all reporting is completed by due date(s).
  • Responsible for staying current and informed about all updated operational and credit risk guidelines.
  • Be knowledgeable of and comply with Bank and industry codes of conduct and with securities laws and regulations.
  • Understand and apply bank/branch operating policies and procedures.
CLIENT

  • Ensure partner and client requests are handled professionally and in a timely and efficient manner, bringing in senior management and other business partners when necessary.

The target market includes UHNW and HNW individuals and their families, successful business entrepreneurs and professionals.

The group has direct accountability and responsibility to assist Private Banking Market Managers and Private Bankers across the country in credit structures.
  • The Client Service Associate position reports to the Senior Manager, Credit Solutions Group and works with a team of credit managers and national managers.
  • Responsible for providing legendary customer experience and administrative support to assigned teams and senior management.
  • The position also works with Credit Centre Operations, Wealth Credit & Market Risk Management and other stakeholders across TD Wealth and the broader TDBG.
FINANCIAL
  • Responsible for all administrative and compliance matters, relating to assigned teams.
  • Actively contribute to results by identifying potential opportunities when interfacing with clients and when performing internal duties by asking questions to better establish specific needs of the client; and referring opportunities to the appropriate contact / area for follow-up.
  • Responsible for providing high quality service and legendary client experience.

Job Requirements:

The successful candidate must be able to work independently and in a team environment and must have sound knowledge of commercial and personal credit, Wealth products and solutions, with comprehensive knowledge of bank administrative systems. In addition, the ideal candidate should have working knowledge and experience involving the following areas:
  • Excellent organizational, time management skills
  • Strong communication - written and oral for successful interaction with partners and clients
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Admin Applications (CARMA Credit, CIF, CSP, Commercial World)
  • General knowledge of Investment and treasury products
  • Operational process expertise
  • Strong knowledge of security documentation
  • Retail banking knowledge
  • Previous experience in Business Banking preferred
