The role requires 5 days per week onsite.

Responsibilities



As a Client Relationship Manager, you will build meaningful relationships with clients and become a trusted advisor assisting them navigating their financial challenges with expertise, confidence and clarity.

In addition, you will build relationships and develop rapport with clients and staff, lead delivery of personalized accounting services, and go beyond standard accounting firm services.

Building strong, lasting relationships with clients by understanding their unique needs and delivering personalized forward- thinking solutions. Overseeing and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality accounting services, consistently exceeding client expectations. Remaining current on applicable and evolving financial reporting standards and developing accounting/business issues. Navigating challenging client projects and delivering effective solutions. Identifying new opportunities and contributing to strategies that support the firm's ongoing growth and success. Assisting clients with evaluating the requirements of accounting, reporting and disclosure standards, preparing supporting analyses, including drafting reports and presentations, and analyzing differences between various accounting frameworks. Developing fit-for-purpose solutions by obtaining an understanding of our clients' preferences and business constraints. Communicating effectively with clients to better understand their needs and providing exceptional service. Ensuring timely and accurate completion of all engagements. Maintaining up to date knowledge of accounting standards and regulations. Representing our clients to the CRA, their banks and other stakeholders. Providing coaching, development and mentoring to other accounting professionals in a collaborative manner that promotes continuous learning and professional development. Reviewing the work of team members, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.

Qualifications



Member in good standing as a Canadian CPA.

Minimum of 5 plus years of experience working within a Canadian public practice accounting firm, including experience in tax compliance, engagement management, and working with a diverse client base.

Demonstrated leadership skills including coaching and mentorship. A strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, capable of navigating challenging client projects and delivering effective solutions. Solid knowledge and understanding of full cycle accounting, financial statements, budgeting/forecasting, year-end functions. Proficiency with common accounting software packages.

Proficiency in Caseware, TaxPrep, Outlook, Word and Excel.

Ability to analyze and define business problems and to identify operational solutions. Ability to organize time and juggle multiple urgent priorities. Ability to adapt to change and the ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team. Exceptional interpersonal skills combined with a positive can-do attitude with a focus on client service. Excellent verbal and written communication skills is a must, with the ability to simplify complex financial information for clients. Passion for continuous improvement to support various projects and initiatives.

Proficiency in Canadian taxation and experience preparing and filing corporate, personal and estate tax returns.

Pay: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
