Position: Client Relationship Associate

Reports to: Manager, Product Alignment

Job Purpose:

The Client Relationship Associate is responsible for upholding donor promise by working cross-functionally with internal fundraising teams to ensure that all products and offers (single-gift and pledge or reoccurring giving) are properly allocated to support strategic program needs.

This position maintains donor promise and trust by ensuring the accuracy of all offer language/messaging used to engage a variety of external audiences. It requires an understanding of the marketing strategy to support offer and product development, which is focused on increasing revenue growth. This position also helps to ensure accountability to donor promise as well as financial and fiduciary standards.

Responsibilities:

• Manage three to four internal clients in the marketing/fundraising teams to understand their offers/products and fundraising plans to help them develop appropriate copy and messaging for external audiences.
• Develop, review, and approve offer language for fundraising communications to ensure the copy aligns with anticipated use of donations collected. Including supporting product teams to co-create new offers and products that align with key priorities.
• Help enhance Programs & Policy relationships with all fundraising teams to support the articulation of the critical programming needs.
• Support the Manager, Product Alignment during the annual revenue planning process to align donor contributions (i.e., single-gift and pledge revenue) with program needs as well as undertake ongoing monitoring of revenue against commitments.
• Ensure revenue is appropriate directed to specific field projects and initiatives through designation codes, in accordance with World Vision Canada\xe2\x80\x99s financial and fiduciary standards, as well as donor promise.
• Prepare, maintain, and socialize annual funding commitment details to help internal teams respond to donor questions (e.g., Countries Benefiting List, Gift to the Community offer list, etc.).
• Work closely with Program Finance to monitor revenue and ensure donor contributions are used accurately and in accordance with donor promise and funding commitments.
• Respond to internal and external queries on various subjects such as wanting to know how donations were used to organizational positions on key topics (e.g., family planning, COVID-19, etc.)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business with a specialization in Marketing or International Development
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an international NGO
• Demonstrated financial management and budget experience is an asset.
• Trendsetting, creative, out of the box thinking.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in product or offer development.
• Superior relationship management and negotiation skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills that include experience working with stakeholders
• Superior demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working cross functionally, dealing with individuals at all levels of the organization.
