You will be accountable for supporting project and program managers in the successful delivery of projects and maintaining a high professionalism rating with Clients and internal stakeholders by:

  • Applying project management best practices
  • Holding others accountable to their commitments and ensuring they are complying with corporate policies
  • Being organized while supporting multiple demands from a number of complex projects
  • Completing assigned tasks on time
  • Taking ownership of the accumulation and reconciliation of budget and spend information
  • Compiling and communicating details related to changes including participating in Change Request development and governance
  • Assessing and addressing risks. Ensure all issues are being managed and resolved in a timely manner
  • Align activities to the project implementation schedule
  • Assisting in creating of statements or work and other needed
  • Building key relationships and trust amongst various stakeholders and teams
Your contributions will have an impact on deal profitability, our teams scorecard results and will be visible to senior leadership.

You will be supported, coached and mentored by the TELUS Client Program Management Office leadership, project management and support team members.

Qualifications

You\'re the missing piece of the puzzle:

The successful candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter with an engaging leadership style, solid influencing and facilitations skills. You must have the ability to quickly develop relationships across the organization while contributing to a collaborative work environment while successfully working under pressure. You bring the following to the role:
  • A Technical degree in engineering and/or computer science
  • Minimum 5+ years of project management experience, with at least 3+ managing complex networking/infrastructure related projects
  • PMP training or Certification
  • Strong business acumen and proven ability to synthesize business results into actionable insights
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality results on time
  • Strong time management, problem solving, negotiation and organization skills
  • Compelling Communication Skills: Clear, concise and influential in all aspects of communication to various audiences with emphasis on client communication and expectation management
  • Ability to create effective presentations for communicating analysis and recommendations
  • Strategic Mindset: Able to develop a strategic vision and correlating priorities to lead the team through delivery by applying current state knowledge to achieve future state objectives
  • Critical thinking, creative problem solving, thought leadership and focus on results
  • Decisive Nature: Ability to analyze data to make decisions and problem solve to align with the corporate strategic vision, paying attention to the details
  • Love of a Fast-Paced Environment Driving Innovation: Comfortable leading in a continuously changing, dynamic environment
  • Thrive on Ambiguity: Provide clarity to navigate and lead through areas of grey
  • Ability to proactively manage escalations and quickly seek out resolutions
  • Financial Management Skills: Ability to capture and track project financials, reporting on status and measuring overall profitability
  • Commitment to the community through volunteering and community involvement
  • Thorough Understanding of Information Technology and Financial procedures and best practices
Great-to-haves
  • Knowledge in Six Sigma or Agile methodology experience will be considered an asset
  • Strong understanding of TELUS Business Solutions systems & tools, products and services, organizational delivery capabilities, and end-to-end processes
  • Experience or education pertaining to financial management or accounting
  • Experience dealing/communicating effectively across different areas of the organization
  • Experience developing and implementing business improvement solutions
  • Excellent English language verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingualism English and French is an asset
Salary Range: $74,000-$112,000

Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 12%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
