What would my role be?





Reporting to the Clinical Manager, Ambulatory Stroke Clinic, you will be responsible for the office administration of an outpatient clinic. You will provide administrative support in all matters pertaining to the activities of the clinic, which includes a wide range of administrative functions, included but not limited to:


Monthly out of province billing verification Format/edits medical transcriptions report Entry of employee's hours weekly Preparation of monthly and quarterly statistical reports Receiving and processing referrals Booking and scheduling of patient appointments Communication with patients and health care professionals



How do I qualify?





Required:


One (1) year Community College Diploma in a clerical, office administration or health-related field. Minimum of two (2) years of clerical experience in health-related field Recent work experience as clerk in an outpatient clinic environment




Preferred:


Experience working with and intermediate knowledge of MEDITECH Fluent in French and English

Knowledge of clinic operations Flexible and able to adapt to a changing work environment Able to exercise judgment and discretion, and to take initiative/problem solving Attention to detail and organizational skills Able to offer professional customer service using a client-centered approach Able to work in collaboration with an inter-professional team Able to multi-task in a busy environment Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and OACIS Intermediate knowledge of medical terminology
