Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, we are seeking a Clerk III to join our Accounts Receivable department in Edmonton, or Calgary, AB for a 12-month term. The Clerk III position is responsible for performing a variety of standardized tasks within clearly defined procedures. Decisions made by the Clerk III will involve the selection of the appropriate procedures/techniques to follow among defined alternatives. The role is responsible for the timely and efficient posting of journal entries, performing clearly defined month end pre-close tasks, daily controls, maintaining records by tracking and retaining copies of deposits & payments, refund requests, journal entries and related back-up. The work performed is defined by standard practice and procedures.

What You Get To Do:

  • Support Accounts Receivable business functions and processes
  • Prepares and maintains routine reports using established templates (i.e. statement of account reporting, account reconciliations, ad hoc daily, weekly, monthly system reports, etc.)
  • Data entry (i.e. daily controls, cheque log, invoice tracking, payment application, etc.)
  • Process work orders (i.e. process all requests received in all AR communication inboxes for example invoice generation requests, address incoming calls, where applicable release work orders upon receipt of payment)
  • Document processes and maintain records and manuals (i.e. update process documentation, how to procedures, internal tracking spreadsheets, etc.)
  • Draft correspondence (i.e. respond to customer inquiries in a timely fashion, etc.)
  • Perform records management (i.e. ensuring accurate saving of AR information, etc.)
  • Create requisitions (i.e. refunds, credit memos, accruals, adjustments, etc.)
  • Receive, track, verify, process invoices and related received payments
  • Respond to inquiries and investigate anomalies (i.e. AR daily and monthly reconciliations, etc.)
  • Process financial transactions (i.e. bank deposits, payment application, credit card transactions, , CIS/CCS adjustments, etc.)
Who You Are:
  • High School Diploma Required
  • Minimum of one (1) year related experience (i.e. Accounts Receivables, Finance, etc.)
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Proficient skills in the use of computer applications (MS Office, databases)
  • Organizational and time management skills with an ability to handle multiple competing requests
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Excellent attention to detail
