About the Opportunity

This position falls under the direction of the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging. The primary focus of the position is to perform scheduling and reception duties, while demonstrating a patient focused environment. Several Meditech modules and other operating systems will be used daily. Payroll record keeping and data entry may be required. Professionalism, tact, compassion and confidentiality are required. Other related duties may be assigned in keeping with the efficient operation of the Imaging Department.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

• Graduate of a Recognized Business/Medical Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Medical Terminology Course
• Ability to work in a self-directed environment and also effectively within an interdisciplinary team
• Working knowledge and proficiency with a variety of computer software and programs
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills
• Physical ability to perform duties of the position
• Good work and attendance record
• Previous experience in a health care setting
• Commitment to maintain and protect patient, client, and personal safety on an ongoing basis
• Commitment to confidentiality and privacy patients and clients
• The successful applicant will have a commitment to the mission and values of St. Martha\'s Regional Hospital
• The successful applicant will have a commitment to the mission and values of the Nova Scotia Health
• Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
