Overview


Clerk I in the Public Works department reports directly to the Director of Public Works. The Public Works Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations within the Public Works department.

Duties



Managing incoming communications Coordinating department meetings Facilitating interdepartmental and public communications Tracking work orders to ensure timely completion Managing the schedule of the Director of Public Works Arranging team training Preparing reports Procuring supplies and equipment Coordinating schedules with utility providers and contractors

Required Qualifications



Education & Certifications

High school diploma or equivalent Satisfactory results from a criminal record check and drivers abstract.

Experience

1-year previous experience in an administrative role

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Proficient in the use of computers with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Outlook and Teams and the ability to use a variety of software Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships Excellent communication and comprehension ability - written and oral Strong organizational skills Attention to detail Ability to multitask effectively
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $24.37 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
