The Accounting Clerk is part of the Norseman Accounting team and is responsible for assisting in project accounting, accounting for manufacturing, and general accounting related functions, as well as other month and year-end accounting and administrative tasks.

Job Duties
Conducts project analysis, cost accruals and revenue recognition
Analyzes manufacturing variances
Prepares actual and forecast monthly reports
Processes intercompany invoicing
Invoices the end user customer, which may include contact with the customer
Analyzes contract terms and ensure proper information has been provided to the Finance department for the billing process
Assists accounts receivable department with collection on occasion
Verifies and ensures Building Sales Consultants are using correct/current tax rates
Coordinates completion of construction industry documents including Statutory Declarations, WCB Clearance letters, and other close out documents
Project and general ledger account reconciliations
Participation in fiscal year-end accounting and regulatory audits
Timely completion of month-end accounting processes including journal entries
Support and back-up to Accounts Payable
Requirements
Accounting certificate/diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary educational institute.
3+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
Experience in the construction industry or project management environment would be an asset.
Experience using medium to large-scale ERP systems, accounting software and project control software and / or experience in using SAP Business One would be an asset.
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
Comfortable in a constantly changing and evolving environment
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Work Conditions
This is an office position located in the Saskatoon Norseman Structures facility.
This is a temporary salaried position with a normal 40 hour work-week.
* Office setting, Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm; occasional overtime may be required. Flexibility in work schedule may be arranged.
