Position Overview

Reporting to the Manager, Sleep Disorder Centre, the incumbent is responsible for filing patient charts and records within the Sleep Disorders Centre and assisting in the procurement of supplies, equipment and services using a computerized purchasing system. Coordinates goods return and repairs. Provides routine project based support to the Manager, Sleep Disorder Centre.

Experience

  • A minimum of one (1) year\'s recent related clerical experience required.
  • Experience in a computerized purchasing environment, preferably in SAP is preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience using Sleep Disorder Data Base an asset.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Previous working experience with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel required.
  • Knowledge of ADT/EPR/EMR an asset.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Complete high school education, Manitoba Standards, required.
  • It is recommended that, at minimum, staff possess the Family & Friends category of training.
  • Minimum speed of 45 wpm keyboarding speed.
  • Accurate, effective communication in English is required.

  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Ability to follow instructions with attention to detail, maintain accurate records and good mathematical skills are required.

Physical Requirements
  • Physical health to meet the requirements of the position.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
