About the Role

Generations Cleaning is looking for an experienced Working Cleaning Team Lead to support our cleaning operations in a warehouse environment. The ideal candidate has previous supervisory or team lead experience, strong communication skills, and a hands-on approach to supporting staff and maintaining a clean, safe worksite.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Cleaning & Maintenance:

Perform general cleaning of warehouse areas including offices, washrooms, lunchrooms, and kitchenettes. Sweep warehouse aisles, including underneath racking. Operate a ride-on floor machine to maintain warehouse floors. Empty and replace garbage and recycling bins. Refill consumables such as paper towel, toilet paper, and hand soap.

Leadership & Support:

Act as the on-site lead for the cleaning team, assisting staff with daily tasks and ensuring work is completed to company standards. Provide coaching, support, and guidance to team members when needed. Assist with site inspections to ensure quality and safety compliance.

Communication & Coordination:

Communicate regularly with Generations Cleaning Management regarding site updates, issues, needs, and successes. Help ensure all cleaning procedures and protocols are followed correctly. Report supply needs, equipment issues, or staffing concerns promptly.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum 3 years in a similar supervisory or team lead cleaning role (warehouse experience an asset).

Skills:

Strong communication skills, ability to lead by example, and willingness to work alongside the team.

Technical:

Comfort using cleaning equipment including ride-on floor machines.

Other:

Reliable, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
