: Shift Cleaner

SALARY

: Compensation commensurate with education and experience, $17-$18/hour

We specialize in manufacturing, bottling and packaging of gummy and chewable supplements for our partners. We are also the proud makers of Honibe natural health products- the only pure solid honey products in the world scientifically proven to retain all of honey's naturally occurring health benefit.


This position will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing general use areas such as bathrooms, lunchrooms, offices and locker rooms as well as production areas and machinery. Some general facility maintenance duties will also be required such as cleaning filters, cleaning walls & ceilings, cleaning machinery, painting, changing lights, yard clean-up, etc.


This position is best suited to someone who is familiar with a production/manufacturing environment, enjoys cleaning, and who can work independently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sweep and mop floors using industrial cleaner in select areas Empty trash cans Clean windows, glass partitions, mirrors, doors, walls Clean and dust furniture Clean and restock washrooms Clean and sanitize kitchens Cleaning and sanitizing of high touch areas and completion of checklists indicating completion of tasks Advise purchaser when cleaning supplies need to be replenished Pick up garbage on outside of property Shovel snow from sidewalks and apply salt on surface Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or concerning the need for repairs or maintenance Disinfecting and sanitizing of production areas and equipment Work with chemicals and solvents, as well as a variety of specialized tools (scrapers, pressure washers, brushes, etc.) to complete specific cleaning tasks Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Secondary School Diploma Basic computer skills Attention to detail and thoroughness Previous commercial or industrial cleaning experience an asset Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written
