As a contract cleaner your main responsibility is to perform cleaning duties or assigned duties in Packing, Warehouse, Flour Mill and Elevator as needed. You will report to the Head Miller and Cleaning Supervisor.

This position will have an end date of December 31, 2023.

Your day-to-day:

• Perform cleaning duties in specific areas including Packing, Warehouse, Flour Mill and Elevator. Maintain housekeeping areas by sweeping and vacuuming;
• At start of your shift in your designated area, you will be required to assess priorities with a general walk through of the area;
• Responsible for garbage disposal in all departments and dumping of RTM when needed;
• Will be required to respond to the daily cleaning of unusual situations;
• Ensure the Master Cleaning Schedule documents are completed on a daily basis;
• Provide backup coverage to other departments, as required and a qualification basis;
• Responsible for adhering to all environmental, health and safety policies, procedures, and directives.

The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualifications:

• Minimum Grade 12 education or recognized equivalent (e.g. GED 12);
• Must be physically able to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, pull up to 25lbs and lift up to 50lbs. Your work environment is subject to heat, humidity, and dust allergens;
• Must be dependable and flexible in scheduling with the ability to work shift work, including weekends, holidays and overtime as required;
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in written form in English;
• Must be positive, professional and comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices.
