Cleans and maintains Parks Canada buildings and facilities to enhance visitor experience.

Parks Canada is a federal government agency responsible for the protection and presentation of Canada's outstanding natural and cultural resources through a system of national parks, national marine conservation areas and national historic sites in all regions of Canada.

• Knowledge of how to apply health and safety procedures at the work site;

ABILITIES:


• Ability to read and follow instructions for the use of cleaning products.
• Ability in performing minor maintenance tasks (e.g., replacing light bulbs, tightening door handles and hinges).

Conditions of employment
----------------------------

• Security Screening: Obtain and maintain Reliability Status Clearance.
• Obtain and maintain valid class 5 driver's license or equivalent.



OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:


• Willingness to wear a Parks Canada uniform and prescribed protective equipment;
• Willingness to work and/or travel in varied terrain, weather conditions, isolated locations and by


various means of transportation;

• Willingness to work irregular hours, overtime, weekends and/or statutory holidays and provincial/territorial holidays, when required;



The position requires the incumbent to:

• Conduct repetitive tasks.
• Stand, bend, stretch and work from ladders.
• Lift supplies, tools and equipment such as buckets.
• Dust and wash walls and windows.
• Pick up litter and trash.
• Travel to various outdoor sites with some exposure to weather elements.
