Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team at the Hannin Creek Education & Applied Research Centre in Candle Lake. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and safety standards across various facilities, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for clients and staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, experience with custodial tasks, and the ability to work efficiently using a variety of tools and equipment. Prior experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred, along with excellent communication skills and a focus on customer service. Responsibilities

Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces after groups depart camp Utilize hand tools, power tools, and custodial equipment to complete cleaning tasks efficiently Conduct routine facilities maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, fixing minor repairs, and managing supplies Follow established safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and visitors Manage time effectively to complete assigned cleaning schedules within designated timeframes Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding work progress or any issues encountered

Qualifications

Previous custodial or commercial cleaning experience preferred Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic facilities maintenance techniques Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for moving equipment or supplies Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients Demonstrated reliability and attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
