Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented part-time cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness across our current job sites in the Burnaby area. This is a part-time role, and the candidate will be assigned to a job site for cleaning as needed.

Duties

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces in site offices, washrooms, and other construction areas. Ensure all washrooms and common areas are sanitized, with special attention to high-touch surfaces. Assist with cleaning other areas or carrying out additional tasks as required by the site manager or supervisor. Report any maintenance or repair needs, such as plumbing issues or broken fixtures, to the site supervisor. Follow all safety guidelines and regulations while performing cleaning tasks on construction sites. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to address any cleaning needs or concerns. Assist with basic site organization tasks, including organizing cleaning supplies or supporting in other areas as needed. Manage time efficiently to ensure all assigned cleaning tasks are completed within designated timeframes.

Experience

Previous experience in cleaning or custodial roles, particularly in construction or commercial environments, is preferred. Ability to adapt to various cleaning needs in different areas of the construction site. Familiarity with basic cleaning tools and equipment; knowledge of cleaning products used on construction sites is advantageous. Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving supplies or equipment as necessary. Excellent communication skills for interacting with site supervisors, team members, and other personnel. A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism on construction sites.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
