Further information is available atSUMMARYThe Cleaner will be responsible for a designated job site contracted to BGIS for service. They will execute cleaning duties as per the client contract while adhering to health and safety practices with utmost professionalism striving to exceed client expectations.KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESCleaning Dutiesxc2xb7 Dust all office furniture.xc2xb7 Empties and cleaning waste baskets.xc2xb7 Collects coffee cups and leaves them in a designated area.xc2xb7 Spot cleans walls, partitions, light switches and doors, windowsills.xc2xb7 Cleans and polishes chrome and other polished metal surfaces.xc2xb7 Cleans partition glass within reach.xc2xb7 Cleans and disinfects washroom fixtures using green sealed products.xc2xb7 Dusts baseboards and low air vents.xc2xb7 Dust mops all office hard floor surfaces.xc2xb7 Vacuum all carpeted areas at established frequencies.xc2xb7 Removes all garbage bags from cleaner's cart and places them in designated area for transport.xc2xb7 Polishes wooden furniture, filing cabinets at established frequencies.xc2xb7 Dust and damp wipes office equipment on an as requested basis.xc2xb7 Washes metal and painted wall surfaces.xc2xb7 Disinfect telephones at established frequencies and requested basis.xc2xb7 Notifies management of occurring deficiencies or needs of repairs.xc2xb7 Clean kitchen counters, sinks and appliances.Otherxc2xb7 Responsibilities may vary depending on the work site.Other duties that may assignedKNOWLEDGE & SKILLSxc2xb7 Requires 1-year minimum experience in industrial/commercial facility cleaning operations.xc2xb7 Self-starter, willing to learn, able to work independently.xc2xb7 Team player.xc2xb7 Good verbal communication and writing skills.xc2xb7 Excellent interpersonal relationship skills.xc2xb7 Positive attitude toward all aspects of Environment, Health and Safety.xc2xb7 Knowledge of national and industry codes and standards such as WHMIS.Licenses and/or Professional Accreditationxc2xb7 None Required.At BGIS we believe that diversity and inclusion is a key business driver, such that we never lose sight of its importance as it is woven into the fabric of our organization.
