The Role

Position Overview

The Cleaner plays a vital role in delivering the premium member experience that defines CourtX. This role holds the responsibility for ensuring the club's courts, fitness spaces, social areas, washrooms, and shared facilities are consistently clean, safe, and guest-ready. As part of the frontline operations team, your attention to detail and pride in presentation will help maintain the high standards expected at a luxury padel and pickleball club. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is proactive, reliable, and takes ownership of the spaces they maintain.

Expected Outcomes:



Consistently Clean & Sanitized Facilities

Ensuring all high-touch, high-traffic, and shared areas are hygienic, tidy and refreshed throughout the day. Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules for locker rooms, restrooms, lounges, and fitness areas. Sanitize surfaces, empty waste bins, restock supplies, and report supply needs. Disinfect equipment and high-touch areas (e.g. door handles, benches, lockers), multiple times per shift. Ensure cleanliness standards meet or exceed H&S Regulations

Safe & Operationally Ready Courts and Common Areas

Sweep and maintain courts before and after peak use times. Set up and store court equipment (e.g. nets, benches, towels) as needed. Check for hazards (e.g. spills, uneven surfaces) and take immediate corrective action. Ensure supplies such as towels and hand sanitizer are stocked at stations.

Presentative & Reactive Maintenance Support

Conduct basic maintenance tasks (light bulbs, minor repairs, reporting damages). Log and report facility issues (e.g. plumbing, HVAC, lighting) to Director of Operations Coordinate with vendors or contractors when external support is required. Support seasonal upkeep of outdoor areas (e.g. sweeping leaves, clearing snow).

Professionalism & Support of Club Culture

Greet members courteously when encountered during shift. Maintain a professional and clean appearance while on duty. Support event and program setup/cleanup as needed. Follow all health and safety policies and procedures with care and consistency.

Skills/Experience Required

2+ years of customer service experience in a premium, hospitality-focused environment such as: private clubs, luxury hotels, spas, boutique fitness studios or upscale retail. Experience in high-touch administrative roles with member, guest, or client interaction. Prior experience working at a front desk, concierge desk, or reception setting is strongly preferred. A keen interest in playing or learning to play pickleball or paddle ball.
