Located just outside of St. John\'s, in the Witless Bay Marine Ecological Reserve, on the East Coast Trail, a short walk to Fork Restaurant, just 30 min from downtown St. John\xe2\x80\x99s. www.whalehouse.ca About the Job: The Whale House Guest House Cleaner Super position is ideal for an experienced applicant seeking free accommodation and an instant steady income. The Cleaner Super position starts at 20/hour, includes a free private Super Position Lounge within the hotel complete with single bed, flat screen TV, mini kitchen, private bathroom and private outdoor entrance, free ultilies including FibreOp internet, heat, electricity, and Netflix. Whale House Guest House prides itself on being an experiential and super clean place to visit. Cleaning experience and attention to detail are essential since this position is more than just ensuring the suites are fresh, clean, inviting and supporting positive guest experiences, the right applicant will benefit from additional income opportunities and advancement depending on pre-existing skillsets and experience. Responsibilities:
- Clean suites after each check-out.
- Ensure all rooms have supplies such as towels, soap, refreshments, etc.
- Be able to lift heavy objects.
- Ensure hotel grounds are well-kept and properly maintained.
- Ensures housekeeping departmental standards are followed.
- Responds promptly to guests\' requests for miscellaneous items like extra towels.
- Maintains the inventory of necessary supplies.
- Reports necessary maintenance items to Hotel Manager, and work as a team to see the deficiencies remedied.
- Follows all safety and sanitation policies.
- Assists Hotel Manager when needed to ensure optimum guest experience.
