Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and safety across various facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for clients and staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent time management skills, and the ability to handle cleaning equipment and tools efficiently. Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in commercial or facility environments Use hand tools, power tools, and custodial equipment safely and effectively to maintain cleanliness standards Operate cleaning machinery such as vacuums, buffers, or other power tools as needed Handle heavy lifting of supplies or equipment safely and according to safety protocols Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishing Ensure all areas are cleaned according to specified schedules and standards Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding completed tasks or any issues encountered Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and visitors

Experience

Prior experience in custodial work, commercial cleaning, or facilities maintenance is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment is a plus Strong customer service skills are desirable for roles involving interaction with clients or facility users Proven ability to manage time efficiently to complete tasks within designated periods Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and report on work progress Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
