Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety across various facilities, ensuring a hygienic and welcoming environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. The Cleaner will play a vital role in supporting the overall maintenance and appearance of our facilities, contributing to a positive experience for clients and staff alike.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas using appropriate tools and supplies, including hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment Conduct facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, equipment upkeep, and preventative maintenance when necessary Utilize commercial cleaning techniques to ensure all surfaces, floors, restrooms, and common areas are sanitized and presentable Operate power tools safely for tasks requiring heavy-duty cleaning or maintenance Manage time effectively to complete assigned cleaning schedules within designated timeframes Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or equipment as needed Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishing Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) during all cleaning activities Provide excellent customer service by addressing client or staff requests promptly and professionally Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding work progress or issues encountered

Requirements

Previous custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred; training will be provided for those new to the field Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and other cleaning equipment safely and effectively Strong knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is a plus Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the shift Good communication skills for clear interaction with team members and clients Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude Basic understanding of safety procedures related to custodial work and facility maintenance
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.85-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 10 per week
