Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff. This role requires a proactive attitude, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Prior custodial or facilities maintenance experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. The position offers opportunities for growth and skill development in commercial cleaning and facilities upkeep.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in commercial or institutional settings Operate hand tools and power tools safely for maintenance or cleaning purposes Utilize custodial equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and pressure washers to ensure high standards of cleanliness Conduct facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support the upkeep of the premises Manage heavy lifting requirements when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment Follow established safety protocols to prevent accidents during cleaning and maintenance activities Maintain organized work areas and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs professionally and promptly

Skills

Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in cleaning and facilities maintenance Experience with commercial cleaning procedures and custodial responsibilities Strong time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within scheduled shifts Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients Knowledge of safety standards related to cleaning chemicals, equipment operation, and facility safety protocols Customer service orientation with a professional attitude toward clients and colleagues
