ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT:
The Cleaner will provide ongoing cleaning/labour services to the division in a safe and efficient manner.
MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cleaning/washing of railway equipment, coaches, parts and shop facilities
Adapts to new methods, processes, material and equipment
Follows prescribed safety procedures including the use of safety clothing and equipment
Performs other related duties as assigned
Current shift schedule is: Tuesday - Friday 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. & Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
REQUIREMENTS:
Secondary School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
Previous cleaning and/or labour experience
Good interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written)
Excellent organizational and planning skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
Ability to work various shifts (including weekends and over night) and some work outdoors in adverse weather (24-hour operation)
Must be committed to Company Health and Safety
