Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff. This role requires a strong work ethic, excellent time management skills, and the ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary. Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. The Cleaner plays a vital role in supporting the overall maintenance and appearance of our facilities, contributing to a positive customer experience.

Duties

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in commercial or facility settings Use hand tools and power tools for specific maintenance tasks as needed Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, or other machinery to ensure thorough cleanliness Conduct facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs and upkeep using appropriate tools Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and notify management when supplies need replenishment Follow safety protocols and proper procedures for heavy lifting and use of equipment Ensure all areas are cleaned to company standards within designated timeframes Provide excellent customer service by addressing any special cleaning requests or concerns from clients or staff

Requirements

Previous custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred; training will be provided for those new to the field Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment safely and effectively Strong time management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently within scheduled shifts Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during cleaning duties Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and addressing client needs Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is a plus Customer service orientation with a professional attitude toward clients and staff Reliable transportation and the ability to work flexible hours as needed

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 8 per week
