Job Overview


We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team at the Castlegar Sleep Center. Perfect for individuals who wish to do extra hours of cleaning per week.

In this role, you will play an important part in ensuring that the clinic remains clean, safe, and welcoming for both patients and staff. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the clinic's study rooms, common areas, and washrooms, as well as ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly stocked. Your work will help create a comfortable environment for patients receiving sleep studies and treatments.

Schedule:

Will be provided with the sleep tech schedule far before their workday to avoid confusion and conflict.

Location Requirement:

This position is only open to candidates living in or near Castlegar, BC.

What You'll Do:



Clean and sanitize study rooms after each sleep study to prepare for the next night's study. Clean and disinfect common areas, including the reception area, Tech Control Room, and high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs and chairs. Empty garbage bins and dispose of trash in the designated dumpster, replacing bin liners. Clean and sanitize both the patient and employee washrooms according to set procedures. Maintain the cleanliness and safety of floors, ensuring there are no slippery areas and posting warning signs if floors are wet. Keep track of cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying the supervisor when items need to be replenished. Adhere to safety and infection control procedures, especially when handling chemicals and equipment. Be up to date with COVID vaccines and booster.

Your Background:



Previous cleaning experience, preferably in a healthcare or medical setting (preferred but not required). Knowledge of cleaning procedures and safety standards, especially in medical environments. Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and follow proper safety protocols. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards. Good organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively to complete tasks within a set time-frame. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills to report issues or needed supplies to the supervisor. Flexibility to work early morning shifts after sleep studies.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7 - 10 per week
