Overview
Annapolis Valley First Nation (AVFN) is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Evening Cleaner to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in multiple AVFN facilities.
Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, floors, and high-touch areas Empty garbage and recycling bins Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors Clean and restock supplies in the AVFN Band Office, AVFN School, and AVFN Bingo Hall Maintain cleanliness in common areas of AVFN apartment buildings (lobbies, hallways, etc.) Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
Requirements
Previous cleaning/janitorial experience an asset Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Reliable and punctual Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect privacy within community spaces Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by specific cleaning tasks. A proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness and safety in the workplace.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
Work Location: In person
