Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff. This role requires a strong work ethic, excellent time management skills, and the ability to handle cleaning equipment and supplies efficiently. Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in facilities maintenance and customer service while contributing to the overall cleanliness of our organization.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in commercial or industrial settings Operate hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment safely and effectively Use custodial supplies and chemicals responsibly to ensure safety and compliance with health standards Conduct facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to management Manage time efficiently to complete assigned cleaning schedules within designated timeframes Assist with heavy lifting of supplies or equipment as needed Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in all assigned areas, including restrooms, kitchens, offices, and common spaces Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding cleaning needs or safety concerns Provide excellent customer service by addressing client requests professionally and promptly

Experience

Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic facilities maintenance is a plus Demonstrated ability in time management and organization to handle multiple tasks efficiently Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients Experience working with cleaning chemicals and understanding safety protocols related to custodial work is preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
