Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Class B Gas-fitter, where you will play a vital role in installing, maintaining, and repairing gas appliances such as furnaces, and gas fireplaces. As a Class B Gas-fitter, you will ensure compliance with safety standards and industry codes while delivering high-quality service to clients.

Duties

Install, repair, and maintain gas piping systems according to industry standards. Utilize hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, calipers, and tube bending equipment to accurately assemble piping systems. Perform routine maintenance on gas systems, troubleshoot issues using mechanical knowledge and schematics, and document all work performed. Adhere strictly to safety protocols while working on construction sites or manufacturing environments involving pipeline or HVAC systems. Use basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to pipe dimensions, flow rates, and system specifications. Solder connections where necessary to ensure leak-proof joints in gas piping systems. Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and installations for compliance purposes.

Skills

Knowledge of HVAC components, and pipeline installation standards. Mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills using hand tools, power tools, calipers, pipe threading machines, rigging equipment, and tube bending tools. Proficiency in schematics interpretation for system assembly or troubleshooting purposes. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting and system design. Knowledge of soldering techniques for secure pipe joints in gas systems. Understanding of maintenance procedures for gas appliances or HVAC systems to ensure operational efficiency.
