Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, excellent navigational skills, and the ability to operate heavy equipment. The Truck Driver will play a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Operate trucks to transport freight to various locations while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight during transport. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transit. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability. Operate forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary for loading or unloading cargo.

Requirements

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) required. Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with a focus on freight transportation. Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation and basic automotive repair skills are preferred. Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently is a plus. Excellent navigational skills with familiarity in using GPS systems or maps. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policies.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
