Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welders to join our team. Class "A" Pressure welders required for various projects throughout the GVRD. These are Union positions working under Collective Agreement. Industrial rate of pay $55.54 plus 12% vacation pay. Pension and Health and Wellness benefits. The ideal candidate will have experience in various welding techniques and be comfortable working with different materials. This role requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Perform welding tasks on various materials including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel using MIG, TIG, or stick welding techniques. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications. Operate welding equipment safely and effectively while adhering to all safety protocols. Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently and on time. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly.
Requirements
Must have the following:
Class "A" Certification
BC Welders Logbook with Continuity.
Will consider Alberta "B"
WHMIS taken after Jan 1, 2024
CWB in SMAW and GMAW
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55.54 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Work Location: In person
