Van Truck Driver/Equipment Operator

Position Description:

We currently have an exciting role for a Class 5 Van Truck Driver/Equipment Operator in our 100 Mile/Gold Trail Recycling location.

Position Responsibilities:

Safely operate and drive a Class 5 Van Truck Driver. Requires driver to drive to recycling sites and our customers to pick up and transport recycling to depot for processing. Operating equipment in the yard Record keeping is required. Physical tasks. Must work well with others Additional duties may be required Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle systems and equipment such as tires, lights, and breaks, troubleshoot issues and equipment, including preventative maintenance. Plan your trip according to the weather conditions. Follow safety policies and procedures for transporting materials. Maintain Logbooks, time sheets, and work orders according to rules and regulations.

Qualifications

Positive attitude Minimum Class 5 License Comfortable dealing with the public (experience an asset) Experience operating equipment (backhoe or similar equipment an asset) Successful candidate must be physically fit, as this position requires time on your feet and may require heavy lifting Any experience in recycling an asset but not required as on the job training will be provided. Proven ability to work independently while being a team player Must be able to pass Drug & Alcohol testing Other duties may be assigned 2 - 5 years Truck driving experience Clean drivers abstract, and clean criminal search Experience in waste is considered an asset Excellent customer service skills

Preferred Experience

:

Truck driving in all weather conditions (3 years)
