The Cube Truck Driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our cube truck, guaranteeing timely deliveries and exceptional customer service.

Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of items delivered is crucial for a delivery driver. Here are specific duties related to maintaining accuracy and integrity.

Responsibilities:

Quality Checks: Inspecting items before loading them for delivery to ensure they are in proper condition and match the order specifications. Managing Fragile Items: Taking exceptional care with fragile or sensitive items to prevent damage during transport. Verification of Orders: Verifying the accuracy of orders against delivery invoices or receipts to ensure all items are included and correctly labeled. Secure Packaging: Ensuring items are properly packaged and sealed to maintain their integrity throughout the delivery process. Documentation: Accurately documenting any discrepancies or damage observed during delivery and reporting them to the appropriate parties. Following Special Instructions: Adhering to specific delivery instructions. Maintaining Chain of Custody: Ensuring items are only delivered to authorized recipients, maintaining the chain of custody, and preventing unauthorized access. Communication with Dispatch: Communicating promptly with dispatch or supervisors in case of any concerns regarding the accuracy or integrity of the items being delivered. Customer Satisfaction: Addressing any concerns or questions from customers regarding the delivered items to maintain customer satisfaction and ensure the accuracy of the delivery. Vehicle Maintenance: Checking the vehicle regularly for maintenance issues and ensuring it is in good working condition. Navigation: Using GPS or other navigation tools to determine the best routes and ensure timely deliveries. Adhering to Safety Regulations: Following traffic laws and safety standards to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of both the driver and the public. Time Management: Managing time efficiently to make deliveries within the scheduled time limit. Problem-Solving: Overseeing any issues that may arise during delivery, such as delays or discrepancies in orders. Record-Keeping: Keeping accurate records of deliveries in DDMS, including uploading photos, receipts and signatures when required.
These duties aim to uphold the accuracy, safety, and integrity of the items throughout the delivery process, contributing to customer trust and satisfaction.

Skills and Qualifications:

High School graduation or equivalent Valid driver's license (class 5) with a clean driving record. Previous experience as a cube truck driver or in a similar role is an asset. High attention to details. Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks. Knowledge of local traffic patterns and routes is an asset. Problem solver who enjoys working in team environment Effective communication and Customer Service skills are required. Organized, detail-oriented, can manage multiple projects, and excellent time management. Knowledge of the building materials industry is a definite asset. Ability to work co-operatively in a fast-paced team environment. Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.

o Reports directly to the store manager.
