Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a commercial truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts or hand trucks
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance, such as checking oil levels and tire pressure
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time of arrival and departure, mileage, and any incidents or delays
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with customers and addressing any concerns or issues that arise during deliveries
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety and security

Experience:
- Previous experience as a truck driver or in a similar role is preferred

- Ability to operate a skid steer or other material handling equipment is desirable
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members

Skills:
- Customer service: Ability to provide excellent customer service by addressing customer needs and concerns in a professional manner
- Moving: Proficient in loading, unloading, and federal load securement to ensure safe transportation
- Commercial driving: Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and ability to safely operate a commercial truck
- Heavy lifting: Ability to lift heavy objects and load/unload cargo as required
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with customers, team members, and supervisors

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 70 per week

Overview


We are seeking a reliable Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials over short or long distances.

Responsibilities


- Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods between locations
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and warehouse staff
- Perform routine maintenance on the truck as needed
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Ensure timely deliveries and pick-ups

Qualifications


- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Previous experience in commercial driving is preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks
- Proficient in customer service and communication skills
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus
- Experience with forklift operation is an advantage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
