Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Class 3 Yard Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the yard area, ensuring that all materials and equipment are organized and accessible. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and the ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.

Duties

Operate heavy equipment such forklifts for loading and unloading materials. Perform order picking tasks, ensuring accuracy in selecting items for shipment. Maintain a clean and organized yard space, including proper storage of materials. Assist in building structures or setups as required for various projects. Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage orders. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any maintenance needs. Lift heavy items as necessary, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications

Mechanical knowledge is essential for operating and troubleshooting equipment. Experience with warehouse management systems is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift. Previous experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous. Familiarity with order picking processes and techniques is a plus. Proven experience in load/unload operations using various types of machinery. Class 3 Certification is mandatory.
