Job Summary

We are looking for reliable Class 3 Drivers to join our garbage and waste collection team. This role involves operating waste collection vehicles, collecting residential garbage and recycling, assisting with loading and unloading. Candidates must be safety-focused, punctual, and be willing and able to work in all weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

? Collect residential garbage and recycling

? Safely load and unload waste bags

? Follow assigned collection routes and schedules

? Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste materials

? Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and work areas

? Follow all safety procedures and company policies

? Communicate with supervisors regarding route progress or issues

? Work efficiently as part of a team

Additional Responsibilities - Class 3 Driver

? Operate Class 3 garbage trucks (rear-load)

? Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

? Report mechanical issues and safety concerns

? Maintain accurate route logs and service records

? Ensure compliance with provincial and municipal transportation regulations

Qualifications & Requirements

? Valid driver's license

? Class 3 license required for Class 3 Driver positions

? Clean driving abstract preferred

? Ability to lift heavy loads repeatedly and perform physical labour

? Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and overtime as required

? Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

? Strong work ethic and reliability

? Previous waste collection or labour experience an asset but not a required

Safety Requirements

? Ability to follow all health and safety regulations

? Use of PPE (steel-toe boots, gloves, high-visibility clothing)

? Commitment to safe driving and job site practices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: On the road
