About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable

Class 3 Driver

to join our team. We are open to both owner-operators or hiring you on as an employee. This role involves hauling heavy forestry equipment--including mulchers, skidders, and processors--to various job sites throughout Alberta. This is a position in supporting forestry operations and requires a safety-focused individual with a strong work ethic and a flexible schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely load, secure, transport, and unload forestry equipment using lowboys or other heavy-duty trailers. Operate in compliance with all provincial transportation and safety regulations. Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of truck and trailer. Maintain accurate driver logs and transportation documentation. Coordinate with dispatch and onsite crews for pickup/drop-off schedules. Travel extensively within Alberta, including remote and off-highway locations.

Requirements:

Valid Class 3 driver's license with a clean abstract. Experience hauling heavy equipment (preferably in the forestry or construction industry). Experience with lowboy/step-deck trailers and tie-down procedures. Strong knowledge of Alberta highways, forestry roads, and seasonal conditions. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. Physically fit and comfortable working in outdoor environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

CSTS, First Aid, and other relevant safety certifications. Experience operating forestry equipment (an asset, but not required). Mechanical aptitude or experience performing minor equipment repairs.
